Sherry is a graduate of the University of California, Davis and Fuller School of Psychology. She has a PhD in clinical psychology and two master’s degrees. In addition, she completed year-long residential research fellowships at Yale University School of Medicine and the National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder affiliated with Boston University School of Medicine (where she was also a teaching fellow). She has held faculty appointments in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco, at the California School of Professional Psychology, and Fresno Pacific University.
Sherry loves to creatively integrate spirituality, yoga, culture, poetry, and art into the therapy process. She is a registered yoga teacher (RYT 200) and an instructor of aerial yoga.
Dr. Walling is set-up to provide remote clinical services for individuals who are not able to attend a session in the office. She use a secure "virtual" office to provide web-based therapy to Californians and Minnesotans. Depending on the clinical situation, therapy can happen wherever you are- in the privacy of your office or home.
